Video footage shows the Syrian woman arrest suspected in Taksim explosion

The Istanbul Security Directorate published Video footage on Monday showed the arrest of a Syrian woman suspected of having placed the explosive device on Istiklal Street in Taksim yesterday, shortly before it exploded
The Istanbul Security Directorate issued a statement today, Monday, saying that “the attacker is a Syrian national called Ahlam al-Bashir, and has a relationship with the Kurdish Protection Units and the PKK Party”
The footage showed the arrest of several people, including the woman who appears to be in her twenties, who was wearing a purple jacket, and was taken to the Security Directorate for interrogation. A large number of officers participated in the arrest process
The published footage also showed home inspections by security forces, revealing the clothes that the suspect wore during the operation
Early today, the media published a video before publishing the scenes of the arrest of the suspect, showing the moment she fled from Istiklal Street after the bombing
The official Anadolu Agency said that the surveillance camera showed the suspect leaving a bag on the seat she sat on 7 minutes before the explosion, and moving away from the place, leaving the bag alone until it exploded minutes later
